Doctor’s
Dr. Ana D Cortinas
Hi Foothills Family! I am Dr. Cortinas, and I am very excited to be the newest member of this amazing community!
I was born and raised right here in Sun City. Becoming a veterinarian was a lifelong childhood dream. When I graduated from Vet School, I moved to the Phoenix area and practiced small animal medicine in a private practice and corporate settings for about 12 years before coming back home. My passion is preventative care and education because there is a great deal of value in prevention and intervening early for the best outcome and best quality of life of our 4-legged family members.
I am very excited about the opportunity to meet you and your fur babies!
Dr. Eva Herberg
DVM
Dr. Herberg earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. She has a special interest in Shelter Medicine and Aquatic Animal Medicine and has completed professional certificate programs in both areas through the University of Florida. Dr. Herberg is also Fear Free Certified and is passionate about providing compassionate, low-stress care for her patients.
Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Herberg worked as a sea turtle nest monitor and biologist in Florida, where she gained valuable experience in wildlife conservation and animal health.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Herberg join our team and look forward to the expertise, dedication, and kindness she will bring to our patients and their families. Be sure to give her a warm welcome when you see her at the clinic!

Chris
Chris is native to El Paso and has loved helping animals his whole life. He graduated in 2018 and has completed multiple certifications in the veterinary field. His passion for animals stretched into the radiology field in which inspired him to continue his education down that path. He has a 3 year old dachshund chihuahua mix and will more than likely adopt a chihuahua first chance he gets.
Antonio
Antonio Salazar was born in San Francisco, California, and moved to El Paso in 2004. He attended New Mexico State University beginning in 2021 and graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.
In 2025, Antonio began working at Foothills Animal Clinic, where he has loved every bit of his experience. He has a genuine passion for working with animals and enjoys being part of the veterinary community – although he might say he loves his Golden Retriever, Spock, just a little bit more.
Jasmine
Veterinary Technician
Jasmine was born and raised in El Paso Texas. She attended Silva Magnet and graduated class of 2023, and attained her CVA. She officially started working in a clinic in 2025 and has been working ever since. She’s currently working to attain her Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Texas at El Paso, in hopes of going to vet school soon. She has one fur baby named Rocket, but also considers her parents dogs, Daisy and Oso, as her own!
Sara
Sara is 28 and recently moved to the area from Arkansas. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2019 and is passionate about compassionate patient care, helping every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old Mini Aussie/Pointer mix, Luna, and her boyfriend, Nate. She enjoys getting creative with crafts and crochet, baking, reading, gaming, seeing new places, and having movie nights.
